 about 4 hours to get to this stage, still a lot of work to do on the background but I think as a image to works Any comments and adivce welcome as always. Comments
 This is a very nice piece
 The points where you could improve have pretty much already been stated; the outstretched arm looks a bit thin from the elbow to the shoulder, and the leaves should be more leaf-like. My main problem with the critique system is that it's only available to subscribers, which I don't really think is right. The whole point of dA is to post one's work so that one may receive comments and critique to improve. Making it subscriber-only kinda defeats the purpose of the site, doesn't it? Otherwise, I think the critique thing is pretty neat, but I refuse to use it because I don't quite think it's fair. -- Join the Ignitus fanclub's contest - dA subscriptions are up for grabs! [link] Well there is nothing stopping anyone writing one and just putting it in the comments, could even use the same grading system and all.

Critiques
First of all, the extended arm reaching up to the sun seems wonky and a bit too thin at the shoulder, and the elbow muscles could be thinner. I truly admire the job you did on the scales. It takes a lot of patience, I know. The claw shapes could also be improved on, but I love his pose.^^ And maybe add a little more folds in the wings next time, kay?
As a last little tip, the leaves could be more "leaf-shaped", unless it is an imagined species of tree.
All in all, GREAT work, and keep it up! Hope this helps^^
